Timothy B. Adams

Graduate Student

I am an MEng student in the Eltahir Research Group. My research focus is optimizing hydropower operations, with a focus on maximizing the usefulness of pumped hydro storage in supporting the rise of renewable energy sources like solar and wind.

Prior to joining the group, I attended UMass Amherst, where I graduated with a B.S. in Computer Systems Engineering in 2017. My interest in hydrology and water resources engineering grew throughout my undergrad career. While there, I worked with the Water Resources Engineering department to build linked, interactive visualizations that conveyed the impacts of climate change on water resources infrastructure.
